Jersey City, NJ – A $17 billion private equity firm, managed by major Democratic donors, General Atlantic, shut down Dr. Murray Sabrin’s website last night immediately after Dr. Ron Paul sent out a nationwide email asking his supporters to participate in his online fundraising drive (commonly referred as a “money bomb”). General Atlantic owns Internet service provider Network Solutions which was hosting Dr. Sabrin’s website. Network Solutions refused to turn the site back on and shut down all of Dr. Sabrin’s email accounts as well. This online fundraising event coincided with Dr. Sabrin’s “Legalize Freedom” Rally this afternoon in downtown NYC against the Federal Reserve.
Communications Director for Sabrin for Senate, George Ajjan, stated, “There is no excuse for the sabotage and blatant violation of our contract between Sabrin for Senate and Network Solutions. We had informed Network Solutions in advance about the expected spike because of the support from Dr. Ron Paul and they assured us they would handle the anticipated increase in traffic. All we know right now is a company owned and managed by major Democratic donors shut down Dr. Murray Sabrin’s U.S. Senate campaign website for no reason and refused to turn it back on!”
General Atlantic acquired Network Solutions in 2007. General Atlantic (GA) is managed by some of the largest and most active Democratic donors and officials. The Chairman of GA is Steven A. Denning who is friends with and sits on the Board of the Brookings Institute with such well known liberal activists as Haim Saban (donated $10 million to the Democratic National Committee), Lawrence Summers (former Treasury Secretary under President Clinton), Teresa Heinz (wife of Senator John Kerry), Vernon E. Jordan, Jr. (close advisor to President Clinton and the one who hired Monica Lewisnsky), and former Presidents of the World Bank Robert McNamara and James Wolfensohn. Mr. Denning also serves on the Council on Foreign Relations with former Clinton officials Carla Hills (former Trade Representative), Robert Rubin (former Treasury Secretary), Madeline Albright (former Secretary of State) and Richard Holbrooke (former US Ambassador to the United Nations) along with NBC News former anchor Tom Brokaw. Mr. Denning has donated thousands of dollars to liberal Democrats including Senator Chuck Schumer and Senator Barack Obama.
Tomorrow is the big day. The day the R[evol]ution transcends from just Ron Paul and spills over into other races and candidacies.
As with everything in the world however, many people want to be assured what they are supporting. Its easy for me to say “Hey, donate some money towards this guy” but unless you see evidence for yourself, your only taking my word for it.
3.) Checking out This Video will reveal the only real competition, who just happens to have 1.5 million of her own money into this race.
4.) Then we visit the home of Doctor Sabrin, and listen as he speaks about the 1st Amendment.
5.) Finally, Murray has such an active fan base that he even has local bands singing about him. Check out This Version of the Pink Floyd song “Money”…
I think I’ve made the best case I could. A U.S. Senator standing right beside Congressman Ron Paul and offering Joint Legislation would be a HUGE success for our movement.
Here is Ron’s opening statement during the Bernanke hearings. He is the only one, as usual, who speaks truth to power. As Ron argues in his books, central banking is an economic, political, and moral evil.
One reason the Establishment-beloved Milton Friedman was not a libertarian, though he was a free marketeer in a number of ways, was his total devotion to central banking and the Federal Reserve, in theory and practice. (Thanks to John Lavis for the URL.)
Peden campaign putting out fake numbers when in reality 80 per cent of District have never even heard of him
Ron Paul’s Neo-Con rival Chris Peden has resorted to putting out fake poll numbers in a crass attempt to offset the fact that Paul is trouncing him in the race for Texas’ District 14 Congressional seat.
According to Ron Paul’s congressional campaign manager Mark Elam, the Congressman holds a healthy 72% to 11% lead over Peden, up from 60% last month following the purchase of $400,000 worth of TV ads now running in the district.
In addition, District 14 polls show that 80 per cent of residents have never even heard of Peden.
Asked why Peden’s office was putting out false polls showing him 10 points ahead of Paul, Elam said, “Our Democratic opponent said the same thing last year - I think we won by 20 points. These guys are doing so poorly that they have to put out false numbers.”
I have personally overseen 4 different political surveys in district 14 in recent weeks,” writes Elam, “All 4 surveys have shown the same results: Ron Paul has a high favorable rating and high marks on his job approval. And if the election were held today, 60+ percent of the GOP voters say they would vote to reelect Ron Paul, while only 18-20% chose Peden. The remaining 20% or so say they are undecided or refuse to give an answer to these scientific and statistically accurate surveys.”
ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA - In a Press Release dated February 18th, 2008, Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul’s campaign reported that petition team volunteers had collected almost 10,000 signatures to qualify Ron for placement on the April 22 Pennsylvania Republican primary ballot. As reported by Debbie Hopper, Assistant Campaign Manager, “A mere 2,000 valid nomination signatures were required and this illustrates the sheer determination of Ron’s Pennsylvania supporters.”
More critically, over 63 Ron Paul supporters had concurrently successfully filed nomination petitions to be placed on the April 22 ballot as convention Delegate candidates. Hopper reported, “These results are historic. Ron’s supporters turned out for delegate candidates in such meaningful numbers to place them on the ballot in every one of Pennsylvania’s 19 Congressional Districts. This grossly exceeded the campaign’s expectations.”
In follow up news, Hopper today confirmed that Ron had on February 20th secured the coveted number one position on the Pennsylvania ballot and that 19 of the 63 Ron Paul delegate candidates similarly secured top ballot positions. In Hopper’s words, “Pennsylvania will
again be the Keystone State, this time as a battleground where lost, traditional Republican values of limited government and personal
liberty may at last be restored.”
Congressman Ron Paul is one of only three Republicans who remain to compete for Republican nomination for President.
Ron Paul was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
The former head of the CIA’s bin Laden unit Michael Scheuer appeared on yesterday’s Hannity & Colmes to give his opinion about what candidate would be best at fighting the war on terrorism.
After airing a clip of McCain criticizing Obama’s plan on fighting terror, Rich Lowry (who was filling in for Hannity) asked Sheuer, “Is either of them right?”
“I think both of them (McCain and Obama) are equally unable to cope with the threat represented by Osama bin Laden, al Qaeda, and the Islamists,” Sheuer responded. “They really don’t have a clue about what this war is about.”
He continued, “Mr. McCain is very confident, but he’s clueless. Mr. Obama is equally clueless.
“They continue to tell Americans, ‘These people are Islamo-fascists, and they hate us because of our freedoms,’ and ‘they hate us for our liberties.’
“What they hate us for is the unusually virulent strain of obsessive compulsive disorder that’s present in the American governing class, and that’s called interventionism. That’s what the cause of this war is. And neither Mr. McCain, nor Mr. Obama, nor Mrs. Clinton, nor any of the rest of them who are in the campaign—except Mr. Paul, Mr. Kucinich perhaps—had that idea.”
Here is an exchange between a Ron Paul Delegate and the State LAGOP leader. I didn’t catch the beginning but this includes the motion to offer alternate delegate list. They shot it down, but it’s now on the record.
Senator Richard Burr of S. Carolina spoke here fluffing up the crowd to be let down by his McCain rhetoric. Sorry, but I could stomach recording it after we figured out what he was doing…. I should have, because, the room became very silent afterwards. Not all delegates are for McCain and even the ones THEY claim to have are very SOFT. I spoke with several who are hard core PRO-LIFE and are unsure and annoyed about the strong arm tactics.
[T]here’s increasing speculation in Washington and among McCain’s supporters that the Arizona maverick will instead run to the center and pick a more liberal vice presidential candidate.
The theory goes like this:
Barack Obama has become his party’s front-runner because he has expanded the Democratic Party. His big rallies draw crowds of nearly 20,000, unheard of for a primary campaign…
This is a strategy that simply won’t work for McCain because there is a certain bloc of core, loyal and principled conservatives who will never vote for him no matter what he says now, who he picks to run with, or who the Democratic nominee might be…
So, McCain’s only option is to run hard for the middle and hope that his centrist ticket can beat the soaring rhetoric and high promises of a likeable guy like Obama with little experience and a liberal voting record.
“Former candidate Mitt Romney has formally endorsed Republican john McCain for president and will encourage his 286 delegates to support McCain. Developing…”
Romney is trying to get into the “circle” of jerks which includes other politicians so he can receive support again when he runs in 2012 or in future. Obviously some politicians thought Romney had done nothing to contribute to them so they ridiculed him. By endorsing McCain, he is setting up his future presidential bid.
Conservatives can now see that the truly wasted vote was for Romney.
Romney Timeline
Romney tried to out-”liberal” Ted Kennedy for a Senate seat but then argued that was just a phase he was going through and now he is “Mr. Conservative.”
People believed him and voted for Romney as the “electable” anti-McCain.
Romney took many Paul votes in NH, NV, etc. and then Romney flipflops by dropping out days after saying he was staying in (making him less electable than still-in Ron Paul after all; you have to be in it to win it).
Then Romney flipflops by trying to throw all his anti-McCain votes to McCain.
I would be furious if I were a Romney voter or delegate.
